Your role

The role of Construction Manager is located within the Project Department, which is responsible for driving exciting and strategically important projects at the forefront. In the coming years, we face extensive changes in our operations: large parts of the value chain will be transformed, new facilities will be built, new main levels in the mines are planned, and existing machinery and facilities will be upgraded.

This means that several complex and high-tech construction and facility projects will be carried out, where safety, quality, and sustainability are at the center – in line with our vision to lead the industry's transition towards a more sustainable future.

We are now looking for three Construction Managers with responsibilities in different disciplines. You will play a central role in the implementation of the projects and work closely with project management, contractors, and other stakeholders.

The disciplines we are looking for expertise in are:

• Mechanics (Mek)
• HVAC, piping, and dust extraction
• Electrical and control systems

As a Construction Manager, you are responsible for:

• Planning, leading, and coordinating construction and building work within the project's framework regarding time, function, and economy
• Ensuring that the work environment and safety efforts meet applicable laws, regulations, and internal requirements throughout the project's implementation
• Leading and participating in construction meetings, coordination meetings, and work meetings related to the projects
• Acting as a contact person for contractors, suppliers, and other internal and external stakeholders
• Being responsible for coordinating the work environment at construction sites, including the role of BAS-P and BAS-U

What you bring with you

We are looking for someone with experience in construction or facility projects within industrial operations and who thrives in a role with significant responsibility and many points of contact. You are structured, solution-oriented, and have a strong safety mindset.

You have a good ability to plan and coordinate work, communicate clearly, and create trusting collaborations with both colleagues and contractors.

• At least a high school education
• Several years of experience leading larger contracts/deliveries within construction and facility projects (as a client or contractor/supplier)
• Experience and training in construction work environment coordination (BAS P/U)
• Experience and training in contract law within projects
• B driver's license, which is a requirement for all positions at LKAB
• Basic knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
